Clitoris?

Today, nothing should be revolutionary or subversive about women’s genitals.  Yet ask most women – yet alone men – about that clitoris and you’re likely to hear ridiculous references to things like “flicking the bean” or “turning the knob!”

In reality, that so-called little bean is just the tip of the iceberg.  And speaking figuratively, it’s anything but tiny.  Some interesting facts to consider:

DID YOU KNOW?

The clitoris is the only human organ that exists solely for pleasure!  Unlike the penis, which has a reproductive purpose.

HOW MANY?

The clitoris contains at least 8,000 sensory nerve endings!  Yup, 8,000.  To put that into perspective, the penis has about 4,000.  Did you do the math?  I did, that’s double in number!

SAY WHAT?

50-75% of women reach the big “O” aka orgasm, through clitoral stimulation.  That’s with or without the addition of vaginal intercourse.

OH IT GETS BIGGER!

Oh yes, not only does the clitoris never deteriorate, but it actually gets bigger with age.  Consider this: at the end of puberty, a girl’s clitoris had nearly doubled in size.  By the time a woman is in her 30s, her clitoris is almost four times larger than it was at puberty.  After menopause, the clitoris is about seven times larger than at birth!  Yup it just keeps growing and growing and growing.  Amen!

DID YOU SAY TINY?

So you think its just a small pink button ha?  Even through that’s all you can see – underneath it has a body the shape of a wishbone – with two legs that extend three inches into the vagina, connecting to the G-spot.  On average, the clitoris is 3.5 to 5 inches long and 2.5 inches wide.  And don't’ disregard the ‘wishbone’ structure – go ahead – make a wish!

A GREEK FOR WHAT?

The word “clitoris’ is from the Greek word for “key.”  Get it?  Understanding and getting to know the clitoris may UNLOCK your sex life forever!
