How to Create a Visionary Board of Your Core Identity!
Vision boards are incredibly powerful for transition—Dr. Z explains how to create one and why they work so well.
Here's the concept: your core gender identity has been collecting visual data for years, whether you were consciously aware of it or not. As you go through life, you're constantly assimilating images and integrating information about who that person is, what they look like, how they see themselves. A vision board lets you tap into that deep knowing intuitively.
How to create one: Look through magazines, Pinterest, or any images and intuitively pick what speaks to you. Don't question it, don't overthink it—that's the power of being in a subconscious state. Cut and paste images into a document, glue them onto a poster, or use a Pinterest board. What Dr. Z has found: 80% of the time, vision boards end up being exactly how the person manifests—very close to their essence, style, aesthetic, and way of seeing themselves.
Sometimes people hold themselves back (like the client whose vision was "soccer mom next door" but evolved to be edgier and sexier while maintaining the same color palette). But even if your reality bypasses your vision board, it's a powerful aspirational and motivational tool.
Watch to find out why vision boards activate your active imagination, sense of hope, and fantasy, and how having this visual reminder helps you sustain through the discomfort of transition.
